This is the problem with judging. It’s not truly done in a vacuum like each round is supposed to be. Judges know their own score and are looking ahead.
More so in 12 rd boxing matches, you end up with 6 straight rounds of no clear winner. Minuscule differences. It’s tough to give one fighter all or most of them. Your old scores clearly play into effect for the subsequent rounds.
That said, any clown scoring this 4-1 in favor of Jones should have their credentials revoked.

I had it 48-47 reyes. Obvis I’m sure it’s been touched on, but the one judge that gave 4 to jones should be banned for life. I can see argument for 3rd. But I thought took it. Yeah gotta best the champ convicengly blah blah. It’s dumb. Score the fight how it should be scored.
I honestly believe judges should score the round and hand it over right after. (No clue if that’s what they currently do or even if it would make a difference) judges should be former fights like Rogan has said on his pod.

While watching it live. I thought reyes won first 3. And jones won last two. Bottom line. As did people I was with that had laid a frick ton of juice to bet jones.

Reyes won the 1st and 3rd.....Jones 4th and 5th. The 2nd round watching it live in the arena I though Reyes controlled the round early but Jones hit him with some nasty shots later. I think Jones won the 2nd based on how nasty some of those shots were.....just my shitty opinion.

Why couldn’t the ufc post the score of each round as it is over. That lets the fighters know who is ahead or behind. Why hide it till the fight is over?

jones needs to really rethink moving up to heavyweight unless he just wants a big payday. He just doesn’t have the power in his hands to compete at that level imho.

That’s a commission thing. The ufc isn’t in charge of the judges.
Besides, the ufc wants everyone fighting like they are losing the fight. They don’t want people coasting because they are winning a fight.

Just watched it. Reyes won 1-3 jones 4-5. They gave it to bones for octagon control and continuously pressuring. I’d like to see a rematch

Maybe because Jones was statistically outstruck
I mean Joe had to call out the same judge earlier for looking at the goddamn floor and not the fight for like 3 minutes
