I disagree. The ref could see that the damage wasn't dangerous. They know what to look for to pause for the doctor. Rountree has the power to finish it in a shot. You can't take that chance away from him if he's not dangerously injured.
The correct response is why didn't Pereira finish it sooner. He shows Rountree a ton of respect.

It'll be interesting. Pereira won't let Ank bully him like what happened to Suga. It'll be an interesting fight but I would be SHOCKED if Pereira just gets smothered.

Ank is not just wrestling. He’s primary striker with solid Dagestani wrestling. I think Khabib really impacted how people view Dagestani fighters as wrestlers. But the new breed(Islam, umar, Usman, Ankalaev) is good all around.

Oh man. That was an appropriate fight for October, Halloween on the horizon. That was some Jason Voorhees chainsaw massacre, Freddy Krueger nightmare monster in a horror movie type stuff.
Those golden gloves were soaked in Rountree's blood. We've seen Pereira max out those hit strength machines by punching them, Rountree needs to be transported to the hospital to check for hematomas, internal bleeding, etc.
