Sandhagen hurt him and instead of attacking was more worried about other dumb shite. Probably wouldn't have mattered, but it's better than showboating and just stand around for the last 20 seconds.

Sandhagen gave him a better fight than a lot of other people. Not sure if Merab really brought it all though.

Would have been nice to see Merab engage those last 18 seconds or so instead of dancing away.

Nice fight from Cory its just hard to do enough offensively against Merab to score a decision since you always have to be on the defensive. Somebody is going to have to catch him is the only way he'll lose

Mad respect for Sandhagen. I'd be inclined to let them run it back after another Sandhagen win. I'd love to see what Sandhagen would do now that he's done 5 rounds with Merab and an updated game plan.

He took the training cap seriously, but he clearly didn't take the fight seriously. He was clowning around the entire time.

Cory fought well but he seemed to not want to engage much after merab hurt him. All in all he did pretty well against merab in relation to everyone else

Felt like exactly how his fight with Umar went except he did better against Merab than Umar. It's just hard to engage with these guys with that takedown threat always present. I agree though you have to at least try, or you're just going to lose a decision

To me there’s not enough difference in a 135 or 145. All these guys walk around 30 or 40 lbs heavier
