We gotta pray Gable Stevenson goes on a huge winstreak in LFA making a MMA name for himself and turns out to be legit. Definitely can grapple with anyone in UFC heavyweight division.

Aspinal vs Pereria; I’d love to see it…what are the roadblocks? Alex have to get some HW skins on the wall first?

Depends on who you talk to. There isn't a right or wrong answer.

Jiri? Lol

There are no good options in LHW right now. Khalil fricked things up by losing tonight. Ulberg is there, but if he loses, then LHW is immediately cleared out. I can see an Ank rematch because 1) he just gave an immediate rematch to Pereira that was initially a somewhat unpopular decision and 2) another few quarters can be squeezed by giving the next shot to Ulberg while hoping a new prospect appears.

Why do you say that? I don't know one way or the other, just curious why you feel that way?

Don't think the UFC will schedule it or don't think Poatan will want to fight him again?
Because we just saw that when Pereira is healthy, he humiliated Big Ank.

Do you want to see Jon Jones vs. Gane again? Same s***, clowned him.

Pereira obviously and wisely has his sights set on Jon Jones. Let Jones fight someone his own age in Pereira.

Superfight at the White House!

No. Alex has like 5-6 title wins. He doesn't need to prove anything at HW first.

You have a monster fight sitting there for the White House main event.

Perfect undercard fighter at the White House. You have to ha move as many US gold medalists as possible.

Hell, even get Cejudo vs Merab on there.

Personally I’d like to see him beat a top 10 Hw first before a title shot. It appears like his power will translate, but you gotta be able to take big shots too. I think he could hold his own but Alex VS say Vilkov or Almeida perhaps would be a good litmus test

Sitting champions never have a tune-up/prove-it fight when they go up a weight. They all get direct title shots, especially when you have someone as big as Poatan.

You also don't make tnem do it to ruin a money fight, especially alone as gigantic as Pereira at HW.

There is no talking to anybody. This is about business and the fight is his if he wants to move up.

If aspinall gets past Gane you can’t chance missing out on that fight by giving poatan someone else.

Call me a bitch, but I hate Bare knuckle fights. Sorry, but I don't want to see people's faces look like meat grinder blades and teeth on the mat 45 secs into a fight.

I’m squarely on the fence; no problem with him fighting Aspinal without HW UFC experience…but I do believe there is a difference in giving big shots and taking them. He can definitely throw with anyone, but can he take them? Whoever he fights it will be exciting, but UFC ain’t just striking…can he wrestle with the big boys? I have no idea, but I will certainly watch!

I'm not big on it either. I can tolerate bareknuckle MMA promotions like Gamebred, where there's more going on than just bareknuckle fistfighting, but I'm really just not interested in promotions like BKFC, which seem more like a geekshow to me (similar to the earliest days of UFC and Pride).

No. Everyone hates powrslap. It's the dumbest shite. It only gets publicity because Dana pushes out to the moon when nobody wants to see it and his ego won't let him admit it's a shite idea.

I agree with most of what everyone has said in response, was just curious why he felt that way.

Certainly wouldn't surprise me if they just went straight for the trilogy, but I'd much prefer him fight someone else.

I don't think Jon Jones wants to fight anyone worth a damn anymore. He'd rather retire than have to fight someone like Aspinal or Poatan, even with Poa currently fighting at light heavyweight.
