Rumors that it might be arman v paddy. Gaethje might get pulled due to a neck wound

I think his neck will be fine, looks better than a few weeks ago. I’m sure UFC is already monitoring it

Sean just got mauled by Merab twice that would be fricked up to make him fight Makhachev jr. for a guaranteed 3rd loss in a row

I’d much rather watch arman beat the shite out of paddy to be honest. Which would of course also put the pressure on the UFC to reunite the belts with Topuria and Arman in the summer, which is the fight I’ve been wanting.

Topuria vs. Arman would be insane

quote:It seems like Arman could be stronger than Topuria. Well so much of what he does depends on being stronger than the other guy. Topuria's strong too, there was that sequence where Charles went to bring it to the ground and Topuria used his hips to end up on top. And he must have some strength to generate the power he does. First guy to knock Max down and out, Charles said it was the hardest he'd ever been hit.

One thing is that part of Arman's success is that his height has been an advantage actually, helps to frustrate taller guys. Whereas he's on a level playing field against Topuria.
Topuria has the wrestling background, but it's been so long since he's had to break it out. Passing guard against Charles and going for the crucifix, outwrestled Bryce as well. Meanwhile Arman eats, sleeps and breathes grappling and wrestling.
Arman had a bit of trouble against Charles. Has Arman ever been hit like Topuria can hit?
If Topuria couldn't beat Arman, then the Islam fight seems like it's off the table, out of the question.
Topuria has been giving signals like he doesn't want to fight Arman. But framed as if he could easily beat Arman of course. If Topuria ever loses, it's gonna be interesting to see how he deals with it. That crazy confidence is a big part of his persona.

I don't think Illia wants to fight Arman.
Arman wrestled toe-to-toe with Islam and Islam only got his takedowns with Judo throws in one of the best grappling matchups in recent UFC history.
He's also been conditioning with Sam Calavitta.
He's extremely dangerous for anyone.

How do most fighters make it when you add in travel costs, training, trainers, their team?
These guys make a lot less than most athletes and fight mainly between 1 and 3 times a year.

Think sponsorships/paid promos, UFC-paid travel, seminars, and the trainers take 10% from the winnings.

What’s not to see? Umar is a -1400 favorite and is the best wrestler in the division besides Merab. Figuiredo is 38 now and on his way out, he’s looked pretty bad his last few fights. This might retire him.

O'Malley is going to get another undeserved title shot
O'Malley vs. Yan was very close, and entertaining. Deserving or not, that's a banger fight that would be an easy sell.

Terrible look. There really isn't a better way? It's so clear that it's dangerously unhealthy. Brian Ortega said he went unconscious for 30 minutes during a weight cut, near death style.

Yeah those conversations are going to be louder from here

They've got to go to the One FC style of weight that goes by hydration level instead of raw weight.

Makes it even worse when Bisping tapping his he doesn’t feel bad for these guys trying to make weight right before Smotherman passes out.
Figgy also look so looked like shite. Didn’t even know where the scale was.
