It's nothing short of a glorified "Tough Man" competition and tattoo show rolled into one.

I've never seen so many trashy looking people in one place at the same time as one of those shows---------and the gals are just as bad as the guys.

Paddy would be a fantastic far right / manosphere figure. Id love to see him do a collab with Clav and the Tate bros

Ilia stepped away for a while. There’s no guarantee he’ll fight in 2026.

He needs to defend it by or on the White House card or drop the title. You can't hold the belt hostage for years because you're a wife beater.

frickin solid main event to kick off the paramount era. Everybody bitching about it looks pretty stupid now. I picked Gaethje to win but came away with a ton of respect for Paddy. He’ll be back.

I love Gaethje and can’t wait for the White House fight but that being said he’s absolutely getting knocked out if he fights that wild against Ilia. All it takes is one touch from that dude. I think what we saw tonight was because Justin had 0 respect for paddy’s power and knew he could just keep coming forward. Needs to be more precision and leg kicks against Topuria

You could tell Sean was feeling a ton of pressure to get that win. That’s by far the most fired up he’s ever been after a W. Not the most impressive fight but thought he did enough for the decision especially the 3rd. I definitely don’t think he deserves a title shot right away.

Black beast needs to hang it up. That was embarassing. That’s pretty much who he’s been for the last 5 years tho, either a KO or he looks like a dude they brought in off the streets.

I thought Rose won 1 and 2 but silva easily won 3. Close fight but neither did much damage.

Silva vs Allen was a banger. Silva is a dangerous dude. Allen fought as well as he could have

If you've seen any of these shows, then you know what I'm talking about.

Most of the participants, both male and female look like they took time away from their trailer park to try to beat the crap out of each other. Most have very limited boxing skills as far as technique goes and swing for the fences hoping to get in that lucky punch--------just like tough man competitions of old.

That said, I'll tip my hat to anyone who climbs in a ring to face off against an opponent. Not many will do that when push comes to shove. When I was a teen, I did it as an amateur in sanctioned bouts and it's not for everyone.

It was a hell of a fight, but no way should have been a title fight. Both would get smoked by Arman or Illia

Props to Paddy for still fighting after getting hit with about 10 right hands that should have knocked him out

It’s because boxing doesn’t hold up well against good grappling. There are some really good strikers in the UFC, but if that’s all you have to depend on then you’ll get outclassed in damn near every fight.

I think MMA is an awesome sport. It’s even more entertaining if you have a good understanding of the technical side of grappling and ground control. I get that most casual fans don’t understand that side of it. It’s definitely not for everyone.

He must never work on cardio. Dude is gassed after a few whiffs. It’s really sad because he is a fun personality but his fight are becoming more of a bust as he gets older. He’s gonna balloon to well over 300lbs as soon as he retirees.

If you followed my posts, you'd know I was referring to that BKFC crap, not UFC/MMA.

Those guys are, for the most part, very highly skilled and fit athletes. I love watching UFC/MMA events but usually get a laugh at the BKFC crap.

As I guy that has been watching fights since they were on HDNET I think some of this is manufactured, virtue signaling cope.

No, knowing the intricacies of grappling doesn’t make it super entertaining (especially when compared to a fight like we just saw). Watching a dude with incredible top control simply is boring. Impressive sure. But boring. And it’s not about being casual. It’s about it being a less entertaining version of an entertainment event.

MMA has always had a bit of a problem with its dueling motivations. Find the best fighter. Be entertaining.

I actually think the rule sets encourage this. Allow all strikes to a downed opponent. Allow 12-6 elbows (specifically from the bottom). You wouldn’t be able to sit in someone’s guard for 3 rounds if you were getting eaten alive with elbows.

If kickboxing had better marketing it’d be far more popular than UFC.

Casual public isn’t interested in wrestling holds

In all his fights, Gaethje gets hit a lot and it doesn't even seem like he cares if he gets hit. But that's like a recipe for disaster against Topuria. Guy just needs an opening and one solid punch and it's either the end or the beginning of the end.

Gaethje's not immune to power, that hit from Charles knocked him down and led to getting submitted.

He also just got knocked out cold by Max. I love Justin, one of my favorites to ever do it, but he has no chance against Ilia.

This did not age well.

Apparently Hokit wasn't done in the post fight interview. He proceeded to assault the press as well

I can appreciate the fact that he’s trying to start his own schtick

But it’s kinda lame if I’m being honest

A complete unoriginal rip off of a couple different people

Throwin' sharp elbows, gotta have a thick skin to post on TD.

That take is pretty much the consensus opinion.

How do you expect Gaethje to stand a chance against Topuria?

Gaethje gets hit a lot and Topuria hits with deadly power. And all Gaethje wants to do is stand and trade. Gaethje can fight with more discipline like he did against Fiziev, but Fiziev is not Topuria.
