and Mir was VERY lucky to pull off that sub before being layed unconscious. Plus Brock is only going to be better at defending that, I don't think Mir improving other aspects of his game will help him much against Brock. JMO

Anybody remember anything funny Rogan said last night?

I have to believe that GSP will humiliate BJ Penn yet again, and I've argued it with a few here before, but he is the best lb-for-lb in the world..mad skills.
I'd give Mir a decent puncher's chance to submit Brock yet again, probably in the same fashion as their first fight, getting pummeled for the most part until an oppurtunity arises. Mir is coming back strong from that brutal carwreck into his bike, really looks mentally dialed-in, in phenomenal shape, and ramping up his skills.
I want to see Rampage vs Evans..I think a focused QRJ would put that first L in the loss column, despite Evans much superior legkicks. I'd even make Rampage a solid $1.50 to almost 2/1 chalk.

Mir has to hope for a Lesnar mistake for a chance at winning. He can't stand and trade with Lesnar, and can't take him down. Can't clinch with him.
How can he win? Hope he get's taken/knocked down and then pull out a sub. Problem is I would doubt Lesnar hands him a limb this time around.

Meaning Brock was beating him standing so if he keeps it standing he can win this time.
they were standing for like 10 seconds that whole fight. Brock immediately went for the takedown at the bell and after the standup he threw 2 punches. Mir seemed gunshy and fell basically to pull guard i think.

It's good to see the Fedor nut-suckers here.
I don't like or dislike Fedor, but you are sucking something if you don't think he'd be a heavy favorite against any HW out there.

Fedor may be the only guy that can keep his feet from being charged by Lesner, that or dominate him once on the ground.
Brock must've had some of the world's slowest or poor footwork to been cut by the Vikes, because his upper body strength and stamina certainly wasn't a factor.

I think he'd be a heavy favorite, but it's ridiculous to think nobody would stand a chance against him, especially if they were fighting in a cage. A lot of Pride fighters have had a hard time fighting in the Octagon.

I think Brock had a lot of injuries during his time with the Vikings.

yes, they're called kickboxers. Fedor's game is well suited for the cage.

He dominated him. I like BJ Penn, he has plenty heart, is willing to fight outside his natural division, but lacks the reach to deal with GSP.
He has to get very lucky to beat a GSP..it's a bad matchup.

Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, Shogun, Sokoudjou, Big Nog.
Fedor will never come to the UFC though. They won't pay enough money for him, and he doesn't want to fight that bad.

you have never seen the fight obviously
Dominated his way to a split decision victory in which he inflicted zero damage, had a face that looked like hamburger meat and won on takedowns alone after a very fat BJ gassed out.

BJ's conditioning is no longer an issue. He is in much better shape and his game has improved tenfold. It's gonna be a great fight.

lost to 2 Pride guys in the UFC? You realize when 2 pride guys fight one has to lose, right?

Wanderlei Silva, Shogun
muay thai kickboxers, one is washed up and one had a blown knee in his lone UFC fight

fought for like a total of 20 seconds in Pride and it never hit the ground

I watched, I bet it, and will do so again..large on GSP.
BJ Penn apologists always defend his heart-filled matches, and I respect him greatly, for his heart and skills, but he is but 4-3 his last seven bouts, granted he had health and weight issues during much of this stretch, seems to be over these problems, and on a 3-0 run of late.
But, there is no arguing that he is better off at 155 than 170, where he concedes some reach to the elite 170s.
