Freddie Roach the other day told some mma reporter that BJ Penn has "by far" the best MMA standup he has seen. Roach has trained Anderson Silva and Arlovski in boxing within the past year.
I don't agree, obviously, but that just shows how good his boxing really is.

they were standing for like 10 seconds that whole fight. Brock immediately went for the takedown at the bell and after the standup he threw 2 punches. Mir seemed gunshy and fell basically to pull guard i think
I seem to remember Brock dropping him twice. I know once for sure.

GSP gets all the respect in my book. Positive attitude, probably trains the hardest in MMA, AND he has amazing ability. Imo, the Penn fight will be another good one but GSP will win, again.

The fight hit the mat only twice. I know the first time Brock went for a take down with out throwing a punch. I don't remember the second time what happened.

nothing wrong with that. He is a badass and you can't not like him. I do think he has juiced before though.

so tell me how GSP humiliate Penn in the first match? split decisions arent humiliations, bro.

i bet a lot of fighters have juiced, man.

I remember Mir going down like a sack of mush. Was eating size 4 fists for awhile. If not for Brock being called for hitting in the back of the head, Mir loses that fight. I don't see Brock getting caught this time.

GSP/Penn 1 definitely was not a humiliation. Great fight although I don't see how it was a split decision. If I remember correctly the rounds were pretty clear cut.

roach also has ms or some other neuro disease so its acceptable that he stutters

I know he does. I just hate hearing him talk.

He has Parkinsons due to the arse whoopens he took while a boxer. Roach was a journeyman boxer who ate a shite load of punches in his day. Roger Mayweather gave him a beatdown like no other. But I consider him the best trainer in boxing today. That is a pretty good compliment to BJ if Roach said that about him.
