Like I said, I won a couple of dimes on GSP that fight, and watched every second of it.
And will back up that same opinion in the rematch as well.
I follow fight capper$ with much $harper opinion$ than yours Maximus.
Nobody said it was easy money..just that it was money.

I'm picturing another Kenny Mayeaux incident.

Actually you have to get down at plenty of outs.
MMA generally is low limits, most sportsbooks reduced the limits in recent years from 1K to $500 or even $300 at many of them. Because the best fight cappers(I'm just a follower of them) were killing it, despite Joey Oddessa's great linemaking.

Pride nuthuggers on sherdog are saying the reason Mir beat Nog is all the damage Fedor did to Nog in their fights years ago.

Looking at the GIFs that Maximus posted reminded me of another thing from last night: I am not a huge fan of hammer fists at all, but the ones Kongo was throwing had to be the hardest and most damage inducing hammer fists I have seen in a fight. Those actually looked and sounded like they were doing some damage.

And I stand corrected - Lesnar only dropped Mir once. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, I agree. Seemed like he was hitting him with a baton or something.

Mir just keeps looking better and better, physically, mentally, skills,etc..gotta love the guy's resiliency and work ethic in returning his body and mind to top form.
And Kongo's blows were loud, I remember wondering if the mics were just close, or were they that loud ringside?
I was four rows back for Bowe-Holyfield 2, and it sounded like Nolan Ryan popping a catcher's glove with 100 MPH heat when they landed their bombs.

What other fight besides last night has Mir impressed you in since his wreck?
Posted on 12/28/08 at 4:15 pm to Palm Beach Tiger
It's been an long uphill climb for him since the crash, and throwing out that first loss in returning to Cruz, where he clearly wasn't ready.
Has it been lucky draws and good matchups for him, or is Frank Mir ready to be all that he has shown that he could be?

Power punching is something you have or you don't. Sure you can improve it, but you can't from average to throwing bricks.
You can when you are a wrestler and are just learning technique. He has always had the power, but until he learns how to uncork it, it's not functional.
