Shogun should hang it up. Coleman is old enough to be his father. He had Colemans back 3 or 4 times and couldn't do anything.

Coleman=sad

Coleman seemed to have brain damage when speaking after the fight. Who has been the bigger disappointment coming over from Pride Shogun or Cro Cop? I say Shogun.

I agree. He gas'ed early in the Forrest fight and looked pitiful last night. When he had the omoplata, it looked like he just kept looking at the time, praying for the round to end. Unbelievable.

I'm kinda surprised that he is fighting again so quick. I think this is Dana seeing a chance to build Chuck up again.

after 2 knee surgeries within a year it aint like you can bounce right back even if you arent 30.

besides shogun is too young to have his own training camp. he needs to go somewhere like extreme couture or train with anderson silva.

he wont be in shape come april to fight chuck liddel that is way too soon. he'll either overtrain or not reach his peak. he shouldnt fight again until late may, imo.

You think Shogun wins that fight if it goes to the cards? He clearly was going to lose the 3rd round and the second was a toss up IMO.

i havent seen the ppv yet.

but from what i have heard from everyone on here there is no way he can beat liddel in april especially the first week of april.

with that said i knew it wasnt going to be an easy fight fo shogun

17 month layoff and 2 knee surgeries isnt good for anybody.

as far as steroids go. id say its winstrol/undetecable ones mixed with EPO.

Well, I would agree with that. Shogun had some nasty knee kicks working against Coleman, but he kept getting taken down. Chuck probably won't do that. Taking the "Keith Jardine" route to victory might be Rua's best shot against Chuck. I would def. take Liddell though.

I think Shogun wins if it goes to a decision. I'd say he won every round even though he looked terrible doing it.

I know its tough to bounce back from knee injuries regardless of age, but he looked terrible. Coleman was clearly gassed 2-3 minutes in and looked like a dead man walking most of the fight. I'm not sure if the lack of cardio is because of the knees, layoff, or winstrol...or all three. but he has serious issues in that department.

No way Shogun was winning the third round. I had him winning the 1st and 2nd, but I could def. see judges giving the 2nd to Coleman.

Well if the ref doesn't stop it and Shogun continues going off on him for the next 30 seconds, I think the judges would've gave him the round because he would've been very close to finishing him. But yeah I thought Coleman was up on that round until that point.

I don't see how they would've gave Coleman the second.

I had Shogun in the Second, but he spent a ton of time on his back and really the Sub attempt is all that saved it for him IMO. The problem was he really didn't push the sub to try and win IMO. If a judge doesn't put much stock in failed sub attempts, Rua loses that round probably.

I agree that the sub attempt had a big part of him winning the round. I just think every judge, along with you and I, had Shogun winning the second. But I can see where youre coming from.

Where would you rank Shogun among the LHWs in now? Pre-Forrest, many had him #1 in the world. Now? top 10? top 15?

Pretty boring fights especially the last two which should have been the best.

I thought the Lyttle vs Davis fight was great. Can't believe neither of those guys got KO'd.

man, i thought the Henderson/Franklin fight was solid. Good pace, solid action, nice chess match.

I agree with Ocean that Hendo was lucky the fight wasn't longer. Franklin came on at the end. Also this is one of the few fights I have ever seen where the guy with the higher point total from the judges lost the decision. I can't even remember seeing another one to be honest.
