but that 30-27 card was a total joke

No question about that. I mentioned earlier that is the worst I have ever seen from a judge......ever.

I'm guessing Franklin vs Hendo

saying the fight was solid. It was ok but far from entertaining. Without the third round that entire fight would have been a huge let down, imo (and thats only because franklin really picked up the pace)

If he would have done it in the second round, I'm convinced he would have won. Dan was much more gassed IMO.

Franklin didn't impress me. His stand up is weak. His only knockout power comes from a straight left and it's very easy to see that punch coming. He never kicks to the head. He does have a hard left kick to the mid-section and that's about it. Not much to his stand up at all. No wonder he was totally outmatched against Anderson Silva who picked him apart very easily.

Franklin has good stand up.....he was tentative that Henderson would grab his leg and take him down IMO, which happened a lot anyway. Franklin would have won if it had gone another round.

The 205 pound division is crazy now. Even more so than it was. they should take a page from PRIDE and have a tournament. These guys are so even now it is practically a long tourney anyway.

I think Franklin has good stand up. Anderson Silva is just on another level.

I'd like to see UFC bring in a Muay Thai world champ, just so Anderson will have someone that can deal with his stand up.

Dana White's last video blog from UFC 93. Apparently the UFC is trying to sign Alistair Overeem to bolster the HW division. Also, around the 9:30 mark shows Dana offering Shogun the fight with Chuck.

I think Shogun is getting fed to Chuck. The UFC sees this guy is a shell of the monster that he was and is just going to use him for some paydays and send him on his way.

of course

his fight with chuck is on april 18th. not enough time to get his old level of conditioning back.

he probably would have to start training at the beginning of february maybe. depending on when he normally peaks. of course overtraining is a bitch too

Shogun should have thrown combos involving over hand rights until Coleman picked his hands up. Then kicked the shite out of his knee. Probably then could have thrown head kicks at the end when he would have been all fricked up.

Didn't realize you were going back a few posts. Yeah, Franklin was ending up on his back waaaay to much as it was, much less if he had had one foot off the ground a lot more.
