We have a legitimate beef with Bama (conference, division rivals plus they're just dbags) but outside the occasional game against ULL there should be no real beef.

I once attended one of their home football games while LSU was playing away.
The people who sat behind me were more concerned about the score of the LSU game (hoping that they would lose) than the score of the ULL game.
Until then I was a casual fan of theirs, but that was before the ULL/UL stuff started and was the beginning of the end of my support for them.

I've never got the thrill of busting on a team in your own state. If they were actual rivals then i'd understand, like an Auburn Bama....
But as an LSU fan I'm not pulling for Rice over Tulane or Arkansas State over UL-L..... I want the state to do well

Exactly. I didn't give 2 squirts of bloody shite about the fortunes of ULL before I was exposed to their fanbase weekly for the last 5 years. Now, I pull for their misery. Being bounced out of their own regional after two games would make me very, very happy indeed. The loss today was sweet on it's own merit.

It's been pretty damn lopsided in my lifetime. At least in football. I didn't see LSU beat Alabama at home until I was in my 30s.

Teams were comparable last year in BR and ULL won 15-1.

My wife's uncle went there...he's a good guy but is always quick to remind us at Christmas about their recent NOLA Bowl win...I remind him LSU just started practicing for their January bowl game...
