I don't understand why they knock ULL's stadium. It's not like they need a mega stadium. Hell there's some Major Div 1a schools with stadiums only 50,000 or so.
ETA: But they talk about ULL having penis envy. I mostly see LSU fans trashing them and making fun of ULL. NOt the other way around. Big bad LSU fans that support a big time program picking on lil small school ULL. That's funny.

Because most LSU fans are really insecure so they have to remind themselves constantly how much better their team is.

It's not state of the art or anything but at least it's creative with the lowered field and the hills. The new turf looks really nice as well.

That said ULL fans are way more concerned about tearing LSU down than vice versa.

Well, I guess you haven't spent a lot of time in Lafayette. Me and some friends watched the baseball game at a local sports bar in Lafayette last night. After LSU scored the winning run, we gave each other a quick high five. One of the locals wearing a ULL hat suggested that we take that crap to Baton Rouge. Hell, if you have ever visited their message board, you see LSU mentioned all the time (a lot more than on this board). I have some ULL buddies that post on raginpagin.com and even they get annoyed with some of the LSU bashing that takes place.

I have listened to and contributed to Jay Walker's Show since day one. Matter of fact I used to substitute host on Kevin Foote's show when he was on 1330 AM in the mornings with Jimmy Cole 15 years ago. So I have a pretty good working knowledge of talk radio in Lafayette and Baton Rouge

You also can't forget the shirt ULL fans wore mentioning something to the effect that if you don't support the Cajuns, then move to BR. I saw one of these at Red's a few months ago and was embarrassed for the guy wearing it.

You said no one from Baton Rouge cares, you don't actually believe that. Some fans think to root for your team you have to hate every other team, we have this problem in Lafayette but it's there in Baton Rouge too.

If you live/have lived in Lafayette, then you likely have an opinion on the matter. If you are a hardcore LSU baseball supporter, you might have an opinion. The average LSU fan doesn't give a damn about USL/SLI/ULL/UL etc.

Those shirts are mostly worn by Cajuns athletes, I've seen a few of them wearing it.
