so I highly doubt he made it to any of the contenders

Why in the frick would a non-contender want to trade for him?

Because they would get two first round picks at the end of the year when they don't sign him. It amazes me how many Braves fans want this guy. He will make you

Pure desperation. He would make us a little less often than the current hitters are doing.

I'm telling you as a Reds fan, I couldn't wait for him to leave. He hits monster home runs and has a good eye at the plate, however I can't recall one meaningful home run he ever hit for the Reds. If the Reds were beating the hell out of someone he would hit one. Down 1 in the 9th, he would K. It was one of the most miserable things I would have to watch. However now we have Jay Bruce, who is better defensively and basically Adam Dunn at the plate.....without the power or good eye. Basically he isn't a player he just K's a lot!!!

they probably don't even really want him, just don't want to let the Giants get him

not really. 8 games is too much to be a serious contender at this point. Could go on a run and get back into it, but very doubtful

Didn't Detroit have a 7 game lead with like 26 to play a couple seasons ago and lose it?

The Amazin's had a 7 game lead on September 12th just 3 seasons ago and went home after their season-ending Sept. 30th loss to the Marlins.

Dunn would be at home. Lee to waivers, sounds good.
