We (CHS) would have beat y'all by about 3 TDs if it was from 2003-2008. But live in your dream world. The 06-07 team had 3 guys that made NFL camps.

Warrick Dunn was pretty salty too but you didn't win state with him!

All I'm saying is that CHS wants to say how great they WERE and how many D1 players they produce but that doesn't mean much. We had one player go play ball in college (NSU) and still won state

Well I hope CHS woulda beat PBS in the 90's..Parkview had been around for maybe a decade and was 2A, while catholic was one of the oldest and most respected schools in BR with a well established fb program. Now Baton Rouge is parkview's end of story. Catholic fans and alums are forever bitter bc deep down inside they know they are a massively underachieving football program. All that talent and recruiting and they can't win anything.

alot of old catholic grumps in here still mad because they could never get that prized state ring in football, while schools not as old as theirs in BR have gotten them (PBS,redempt, dunham)

i don't think anyone actually cares after they graduate.

Only reason I'm following this year is that my cuz is a coach

Our 2001 PBS undefeated State Champ team could have played with anyone in the state. We dominated everyone that year including Chris Henry's (RIP) belle chase team in the dome 61-19.

Ruston '91, one of the best teams the state ever produced, and Tommy Banks on the road (14-10, and I was on the sidelines).

Sucks man.

Dude, seriously? How many times can you fall back on that lame arse excuse? Speaks to your intelligence to just repeat what everyone else says when you have no logical point to make. So you say shitty competition in 3A, ay? No Catholic team in 10 years couldve gone out and beaten Notre Dame, Redemptorist, and Patterson three weeks in a row to win the State Championship. I dont know how farmiliar you are with Louisiana high school football, but I wouldnt classify Kenny Hilliard, Jeremy Hill, and Lael Collins as "shitty competition". I dont hear Parkview making the excuse of "well, we are only 3A" after losing to a 5A team, but Catholic's autoresponse to any logical critique of their program turns into "We are 5A so uhmmm we play harder teams and stuff. Thats why we never really win."

Look, its nothing personal against Catholic. Im just waiting for someone, anyone tied to the Catholic program to stand up and say "We really arent that great. We've never won a State Championship and havent been a threat to realisticly win one in a long, long, long time."

You've just been saying your good for some time now and the proof has never been in the pudding. Its one excuse after the other.

TheSexecutioner, so now youve posted twice on this page trying to "defend" Catholic's underachieving program. Youve used a total of two words and one smiley face. If you want to make a valid point maybe you can start with a list of Catholic's accomplishments as a football program to prove otherwise?

The truth is Catholic was crap in football until desegregation hit the public school system and owes any success in football that ruling.

Central would roll PBS this year. No shot at PBS but this team is for real. When roll I mean by 2 touchdowns.
