What the new playoff format should be

16 teams. Can have one or two G5 teams to play the top seeds if you want. Everyone plays the same week. Home games until the semis. Making these top seeds have to sit for a month and get rusty seems like a disadvantage more times than not.

I’m not disagreeing, but it’s important to note that 2 of those teams last year were Boise St and AZ State, which were massive underdogs already. Oregon lost to the eventual champion, and ND just straight up beat UGA.
So it’s not like all of the teams on bye were rusty and that’s the sole reason they lost like the headlines lead you to believe.
