Hopefully you all will take my contentions more seriously than prior considering I do watch the game and NFL Films, I'm a football junkie haha

He'd break off a 30 yard run get caught from behind at the 5-yard line and then he would get stuffed and the Lions would move onto other options for 2nd and 3rd down. You never got the payoff with Sanders.
Barry Sanders was the Marshawn Lynch of goalline situations in the 1990s.

They don't show you all the negative yards he lost dancing back there...Barry always wanted the homerun. And when he got that breakaway he would way too often get tackled at the 5-yard line.
Barry averaged 5 yards a carry. Better than Emmitt. Emmitt only managed better than 5 ypc one year of his career and he played for a far superior team.

Not happening. Everyone has figured out you're a fraud.

I never made any fraudulent representations so therefore logically I can't be a fraud, nice try fella

Both teams offenses were centered around Barry/Emmitt but were different schemes: Barry played in a run and shoot scheme and Emmitt an I-formation scheme. Both had different running styles: Barry usually danced around and created because he was the only back in the backfield whereas Emmitt ran the play as instructed, didn't dance, didn't seek the big run but he gained yards consistently and scored TDs and scoring is the objective of playing offensive football. Both played behind competent offensive lines(each consisted of pro bowlers) but Detroit's defense and quarterbacks constantly sucked until Scott Mitchell was acquired and improved play. You have to understand: many times in the 90s Barry would submit these prolific 200 yard performances where he would average like 9-10 YPC then the next week he'd gain like 30 yards on 2-3 YPC. It balanced itself out on the stat sheet. Emmitt Smith routinely churned out 100 yd/1 TD games per week and maintained that consistency for a long period of time.

Sorry to tell you this but, Anyone have n here can look up stats... it's actually watching games that give you more important information..... btw Sanders played with a shitty o-line... but you would not know this because you never saw him play..... I don't care what highlights you have watched....
Posted on 7/21/17 at 4:48 pm to dukke v
Throughout his career in Detroit, Barry played with 3 Pro bowl OLs and 2 were all-pros when they were on the Lions. Also, how can you prove his o-line was shitty when he'd post these remarkable annual rushing stats and pro bowlers were on that line? Explain me that, the best offensive line in the world doesn't play perfectly every play over a 16 game season, but they play great more often than not.

When watching Barry Sanders' highlights, how does one justify a better RB than him?
Posted on 7/21/17 at 5:25 pm to VerlanderBEAST
Jim Brown, all the TDs Emmitt Smith scored which was A LOT, Terrell Davis was pretty awesome as a RB
Posted on 7/21/17 at 5:31 pm to VerlanderBEAST
Sorry... wrong... that would be Jerry Rice....

You are reaching... Again. Tell me you saw him play... that's the question... can you answer it??????
Posted on 7/21/17 at 5:58 pm to dukke v
Of course I have, you need to know who you're messing with son I've watched NFL Films videos religiously since I was 8-9 years old as well as NFL Network currently and his clips are available on YouTube. I've seen clips of Barry play and seen his numbers, what's your point?
Posted on 7/21/17 at 6:05 pm to ThePTExperience1969
Ok boy... you never saw him play while he was playing then correct???? That's the question....
