Dude comes in here throwing out records. I find it funny that all of those games were played in the strong years of LSU football, and that during the "dark ages" in BR we weren't on the schedule. Coincidence probably, not scheduled on purpose to protect that pretty little record....possibly.
I'm insinuating that LSU possibly was playing the odds. Not that we would have won, just that y'all didn't want to chance it.

ULM has never tried to brand themselves as UL
Thats funny right there. I hate that ULL is trying to go the UL route. It drives me up the wall. And i can shoot some of the fans that try to defend it. But ULM was the first to do it.
Check out some of ulm's football helmets from around when both schools changed names.

after reading all the post from usl. it is apparent that they can only be content with illegal titles like ul. they want to be lsu but can't so they try to vaunt themselves upward to be the only louisiana university which of course is not the case. have fun in your make believe world.
Good Lord. Say it with me...."grammar."
Oh, and didn't I tell you earlier to get back on the rig?!?!?

Perhaps they're trying to be like all the other states with their University of ______________ ?
Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma (OU), Mississippi, Virginia, West Virginia, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Meeechigan, etc.
Those are all supposedly more prestigious, as the land-grant, research institutions whilst the "State" university is the poor dumb ag. school (Cow College) a la Miss. State, Auburn, Ok. State, Michigan State, Iowa State, Kansas State, etc.
Right or wrong, Ol' Huey took care of all that.
And they STILL boo'ed a five yard offside penalty, inside the first minute of the game, and it was obvious. As if the refs. needed to be boo'ed for such a plain-as-day call.

Damn, you guys are still talking about this? I live in Lafayette and get heckled here and there by "those Ragin Cajun fans"... the overly vocal minority that makes all Ragin Cajuns look bad. They see my LSU ring and crap starts to spew from their mouths, but I just remember they make up a small portion of an otherwise great friendly fan base.
Ask yourselves this, don't we have our share of T-shirt fans that make us look bad? I know I get on the SEC rant from time to time and sometimes can't believe some of our fans were allowed to have computers in the loony bin/crazy house.
As for the namesake to "UL", who the hell cares? I'm more focused on Bama, Auburn and now Texas A&M. So to care about what another instate team has in the works really doesn't draw much of my attention.
I'd let them officially have the right to call themselves UL if it were up to me. UL-L is a pretty nice sized school from what I hear(12,000-15,000) students, decent academics and an athletic program that's growing due to alumni and fan support. I'd rather see an instate team do well than say a UH, Boise or ECU, but that's just me.

This is the truth for the legion of T-shirt "Wal-Mart" idiot fans. Tech fans feel the same way about LSU. No one's losing any sleep over it. If ULL and LaTech don't like LSU, that's our business. It's not like LSU will mess with us without the deck somehow stacked anyway. After we (Tech) pissed our previous game away in Baton Rouge, I don't anticipate meeting LSU on the gridiron any time soon. That was too close for their comfort.
Anywho, I still don't quite get why ULM-ULL isn't a real rivalry. You'd think even at least the name thing would get them going. Then again, ULM fans are really just LSU fans, so I guess it's hard for ULL to hate on them, since probably about 7 ULM folks show up when they play.
If ULL ever really becomes a stronger football program, the "Atchafalaya War" could be a pretty interesting rivalry. I've wanted a good one to stir up between Tech and LSU for years, but I realize LSU will never let it happen, so we just enjoy our rivalries with Southern Miss and Fresno State and move on with our lives.
HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS!!! BEAT TCU!!!

We would take the necks to the woodshed. Football would be some really good games but every other sport with the exception of womens bball would be a beat down. Besides I thought Ruston was in Arkansas.

What will be the effect if UL, ULM, Tech, or Tulane ever beat LSU? Would it be nuclear winter? It's going to happen someday.

Not in this climate. Since 2000, the whole attitude on all sides changed.

I know you are talking about football and I am not sure about the other schools but I am pretty sure Tulane has a winning record against LSU in all sports since 2000.
