but, like I just stated - from what I heard 1st hand last night downtown - there are other rumblings, not related to Lyles. But, the word is that other transgressions - unrelated to Lyles - may come to light. And that Lyles accusations, while they may be 100% without merit, have inadvertently shined a light on UT. They are a little nervous. UT is not squeaky clean.

I guess Texas should just shut down the football program if first hand information is being bandied about downtown.

did I say that?
I'm well aware of how little brevity my info is to you, almighty holder of the UT Morality Cup. And I know the implications of posting unsubstantiated rumors on the MSB. So, I'll refrain from details.
But, I still have complete and direct knowledge that a former player, who told me directly, received "improper benefits" and members of the coaching staff were all too aware. He's not the only one, as I'm sure we all know. Personally, I couldn't give a frick, I'm sure it happens at virtually every university to some degree, including LSU. shite, we know about the Hicks thing.
Regardless, you have got to get off your high fricking horse and come to some realization that your beloved Longhorns do not run a 100% clean airtight program.
and furthermore, my "source" has only told me stuff, maybe 3 or 4 times, and he's never, ever been wrong. It's not like he's feeding me gobs and gobs of info. It's rare, few and far between, but very accurate. Belmont is nervous...about what, I do not know, it may just be the Cleeve Bryant thing.

Like I have said before, at every school, including Texas, I am sure that small potatoes stuff happens like boosters buying kids meals & drinks when out on the town. However, I would be VERY surprised if the coaching staff knows about this, as you claim. You are kind of insinuating that they are fine with it - I just don't buy it.
I have to admit, I always wonder why people like you, who claim to have info on message boards, don't give all of the info. Who is the player? What specifically are the improper benefits? Which coaches know? If this is the truth, why not tell the truth? Why do you feel this need to protect the University of Texas?

I dont
he's something of a friend, and more importantly, his brother is a very good friend, I dont have any want to betray his friendship. He no longer plays for Texas, and if you must know - it was Mack Brown that knew. And it was substantially more than a meal. It was cash and a "loaner" vehicle.
of course you'd be surprised, walking around with BurntOrange colored glasses

You are 100% right. I would be absolutely shocked that Mack knew of a kid being given a car & cash and being fine with it.
