I talked to a guy from England once about soccer/football and he cracked me the frick up talking about how much he hates the English National Team and often calling the queen a count.

Fairly typical stuff. Outside of what is known as 'middle England' i.e. conservative/BNP voting, insular fricks, the Queen is viewed with either apathy or derision.

Personally I like her, I'd definitely frick her if I got the chance.

But yeah also, a lot of people hate our national team, not just the Welsh, Irish and Scottish who reside here, but I'd say maybe 1/10 typical football fans reject our national team, either because they're so obsessed with their clubs, or they're just sick of the INSANE amount of hype the media produces.

Anyone got any more predictions?

I'm still on the Serbia bandwagon! I might even start thinking up some off colour jokes about the all the shite that's gone in that region in the last 15 years...

You can hop on an African bandwagon man, it's just been the same thing for years. These African teams are full of stars but they always falter in the World Cup. Maybe the African soil will give them super powers.

Ghana didn't falter last WC. They advanced out of the second toughest group with a very young team. Those guys have four more years of European seasoning in them now plus the addition of some of the guys that won the U-21 World Cup last year. Ghana and Ivory Coast are legit powers, Ivory Coast got a horrible draw for the second straight cup but they still have a good shot to get out of it.

Me too. Although he is gayer than your boy JPLSU, I wish he was playing for us.
