I wonder how Abreu will do in the 2 hole. He usually hit 3 with NYY.

Not sure, but I think his patience will do the lineup well! I personally think that Howie Kendrick is going to be a great 2 hole hitter!! He has to stay health first, but if he does then I predict a BIG BIG year for HK47!

That might be a little high "expectations".

Houston Astros: Finish no better than 3rd in the division sadly. They'll either do really well to start the season, only to collapse, or they'll start the season shitty, do well and get everyone's hopes up, then collapse. Same ole same ole.

My bad, the Yankees have the oldest pitching staff, not the oldest rotation, with an average of 31.0. The average age of the hitters is 32.0. My source is Baseball Prospectus. I apologize for the error of confusing the rotation for the entire pitching staff. Defensive much?

As for the O's signing Roberts... eh. I don't think it's a bad signing, but its not a great one. He will make $10 miillion a year, which is a lot, but isn't that far over market value. And, in a way, B-Rob is worth more to the O's than any other team. He's the first regular position player developed by the farm system since Chris Hoiles. The O's can't afford to have him walk, especially given how awful the shortstop situation was last year.

It's not the Mora deal, which was bad when it was signed, but hoenstly, the Mora deal isn't the millstone people thought it would be. And he's played fairly well, and he's older than Roberts will be when this deal expires.

You think 100 games again for the Halos? I agree with your statement of them being the best in the AL West. (doesnt take much in the weak division) My BIGGEST concern is the end of that rotation until Escobar gets back (and hopefully back to his old ways).....Moseley was not successful in this role in the past and Adenhart is unproven on this level....

Yeah, I am optimistic as a fan, but I definitely think that IF they can stay healthy that they can get to 100 games. Kendrick and Figgins are crucial and they have to be in the lineup everyday!

Regarding the rotation, the 5 hole does concern me, however I think between Mosley, Adenhart, and Loux they should be fine until Esco arrives! I really wish we could have kept Nick Green, but oh well.

He just needs to play better (offensively) than he did in the playoffs...he was killing me every time he came up to the plate.

I give him a pass for the playoffs because he was just coming off that injury! He is a solid hitter and normally has a great eye, but he was pressing in the playoffs!! He is crucial to the Angels success!
