huh? If you're talking about "Mama," she's based on a real person/actual events (a British caucasian woman becoming a radical islam militant)

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I think the mom & daughter are cray cray.

Jack. You never disappoint. Bust caps in blokes' knee caps.

I was kind of bummed to see that they see this season as a proper ending for Jack. I was hoping this 12 episode season was going to be a yearly thing. Maybe the ratings will change that.

I just took it to mean that they won't end this season on a cliffhanger, like with him getting grabbed by the Russians.
The season will have a firm resolution (which was done a few times during the show) but leave the ability for the show to pick up again.

Is the show "24" only going actually be about 12 hours of events? I thought they might cover two hours in each episode to make 24.

Another great episode. Kiefer is such a wonderful actor and even though we rarely get to see many Jack Bauer emotional moments he always shines in those.
I am really loving the Kate Morgan character. And Lady Stark's new Sansa daughter is fire.

As a long time fan of this show and complete Bauer fanatic.
I can't say that I like some of the things Jack is doing in this season. I know that Jack has to to some unsavory things to get the job done, but there is a difference between making the hard decisions and just doing it it the hard way.
A tough choice - Jack having to execute Ryan Chapelle because Stephen Saunders demanded it.
The hard way - Shooting innocent people in the leg (In a foreign country no less) in order to infiltrate the embassy that you would have been brought into had your credentials not checked out anyway. Jack didn't mind being taken into custody by the CIA, I don't see why he had to do all of this.
My point is, Jack has always done what it takes to get the job done, but firing at federal agents, hurting dozens of american's in an explosion, and firing on innocent British citizens is a bit much.

Jack had a plan to be taken into custody by the CIA to get Chloe and he had help. Here, he had to improvise. If he was taken into custody, do you think he would get to talk to the drone pilot?

No, but I feel like there are some levels of improvisation. Jack just goes from the plan, to extreme immediately when it doesn't work out.
Jack on multiple occasions has to do things the hard way. Season 5 being one the really odd ones.
Jack didn't have to illegally board and then Hijack a passenger jet in order to get to Henderson's courier. President Logan was then going to shoot the plane down for some reason which would have led to the death of a lot of innocent Americans.
Why did Jack have to sneak on to he plane and more importantly, why was it even allowed to take off in the first place.
Season 5 is a bit hazy to me, so if there is an explanation for all of that, please remind me.
