It felt like a Better Call Saul second half of final season episode.
This is exactly what I was thinking, except they couldn't quite pull it off the same way. I feel like Barry is a great show with great writers who have taken a lot of risks that have paid off but this wasn't one of them. BCS knew how to handle this and keep it interesting--better than interesting; straight up captivating. This wasn't that. It was boring. It just missed for me. Reminds us that as great as Hader and his crew are and as great of an achievement as this show is, Vince Gilligan is a frickin unicorn.

WTF did I just watch? This episode doesn't fit into the series at all. I have a feeling it's about to fall off a cliff.

Sally turning into a white trash ho is an unexpected development. Probably what her life would have looked like if she never left Joplin.

I thought the same thing. I hate dream episodes, but critics always love them.

Good comparison.

Barry was just teaching the kid with youtube videos. If that's mostly his home schooling lol that's hilarious.

The dinner scene was so odd lol

Very underwhelming episode, it looks like a basic filler episode with a solid hook at the end. Something tells me that there was a lot of details hidden throughout the episode but we don’t know what to look for just yet.

At least it wasn’t in black and white.

I don't think the kid gets to even use the internet. Barry is always with him. They watch at night when he's sleeping. No tvs in the house?

My question is: Are they in hiding or witsec?
If he's in Witsec I thought they made you work.

His face might be too hot to go out at all. The fact that he's still in the USA blows my mind.

Sally's count video went viral so the internet is fully functional as we know to today if not further along I'm guessing.

That was a depressing as shite episode. The poor kid. I want them to both go away so the kid has a chance at life. Barry seemed like a decent Dad at first but they kept showing more and more insanity. And Sally is one of the worst tv Moms I've seen, not even any warmth for her child. I feel like she would turn them in to get back in the spotlight.

Did it ever mention what part of the US they were in?

Peggy Hill has been dethroned for sure…until the KotH revival comes out.

All of his "dream" sequences have been real throughout the series. So the big question about last night's episode is whether it takes place before or after Jon Hamm takes a shite in one of his many bathrooms.

Barely felt like a Barry episode. The feel and tone was more "Leftovers".

IMO, The Leftovers is the greatest show of all time. I re-watch it every year and enjoy it more every time. I would think Barry meet Leftovers would be good stuff, but that episode didn't do it for me.

I'm sure this is just a one-off episode/they aren't going to spend much screen time of their life out there, but it was overall a weak episode.

Not sure why Sally had to take it that far with ol boy to prove her point. Just tell him to F off and that your husband will kill him if he doesn't stop creeping you out, not go to where you are about to blow him so you can choke him out.

Not a great episode but I only had a couple of problems with it.
1. The kid seems older than 7 to me.
2. It seems like they have lived there for a while and they keep the gun in a hole in the wall behind a picture? They don't even clean it up a little? That was ridiculous.

Better be a heavy dose of Fuches and NoHo in the next episode and very little to no Sally.

Yes.

Also, I thought Sally was much more attractive with dark hair than blonde, but that might just say something more about me.

I did too. Also liked her trashy look and the accent.
