If its like most other HBO series....they wrap up most storylines but leave 1 big cliffhanger for the next season.

Nucky looked straight up evil during the scene at Chalky's. The exchange between Jimmy and Nucky after Jimmy shot one of the brothers was hysterical.

good episode, a lot of stuff went down in this one. I'm glad Jimmy beat the hell out of that photographer guy, he was creepy as hell

eta- how difficult is it to choke a man with your bare hands while standing up? I was saying it's probably pretty damn difficult, but my husband disagreed. Just wondering how BA chalky is

Chaulky is extremely BA, but it has nothing to do with him choking a dude out.

If I had a pair of bear hands, I would be unstoppable and crush all who oppose me!

But on the topic of this thread: This show has been absolutely phenomenal. I'm totally invested in it and love it. It hasn't quite been up to the level of the pilot but that may have been the greatest pilot ever filmed.

to me this is the best show on TV and has the capability to be one of the greatest ever.

i think rothstein gets dealt with before the end of the season.

i dont know if alot of people fully grasp the historical context of this series. remember the board game monopoly? this is it- 1920's atlantic city. the birth of the modern mafia under lucky luciano. all of the original gangsters with a few fictional ones thrown in.

i havnt loved a show this much since the wire, and this is right up there with the wire and breaking bad for me.

I am fond of a few characters, but I think Mickey Doyle is my favorite. I love when Nuckie tells Jimmy something in his office and all you hear is his little weasel laugh in the background.

That weasel voice is one of the many great things I love about this show.

Arnold Rothstein, who is believed to have fixed the 1919 World Series is a real person who dies in 1928. The show is taking place in 1920 so i doubt if he gets knocked off anytime soon.

Good point about Rothstein being taken out. I doubt the producers would want to commit that sort of historical inconsistent blunder.

It appears, AS OF NOW, that Rothstein is fricked, but I can assure you that he will end up striking back hard at Nucky. Likely Chalky gets killed, too.

How long until Capone says enough's enough with Butchie from the Sopranos? How long until Lucky feels that he is capable of doing his own thing and out from under the wing of Rothstein?

And how awesome is the character with half a face? In all seriousness, he is one of the most likeable characters on the show. He is going to somehow do a lot of damage, but die a tragic death in front of Margaret and the children or something, while trying to protect them.
