The Rita thing doesn't need to be touched or changed at all, it was one of the best storylines of the series and I'm sure they realize that.
I think it's fairly obvious they're setting up the new intern to be some kind of killer. That will set up the irony of Masuka sending away the hot blonde in exchange for the (potentially) bad guy.
This episode was great. The Brother Sam hospital bed speech was epic, I did not expect Mos Def to be quite this good

Excellent episode.
RIP Bro' Sam. He knocked that role out of the park. Wish he was going to be on more episodes.
I wonder if anyone saw Dexter leave with the mexican kid. I also wonder if he just leaves his drowned body in the bay.
One point vastly overlooked is Masuka's intern admitting he isn't after a career in crime. So now he's obsessing over Dexter for his video game and will bang Batista's sister.
They're setting up Quinn to get killed/fired for sure. won't miss the guy.
The Deb/therapist storyline is intriguing. Got to wonder where they're going with it. Maybe they'll frick.

They at least gave us 5 seconds of "oh shite" when Nick said "he was full of shite". I thought Nick had found out that Sam had not changed his ways at all and that's why he had killed him.
