Nice funeral service and grave site for Deb... Real thoughtful
Spoilers.:
I like how Dexter was able to pull his boat right up to the front of the hospital, walk in, unplug Deb without alerting anyone, then wheel her arse straight out the hospital pass everyone without a single person noticing.
Then he just picks her up and carries her down the main dock and puts her in his boat right in front of everyone.
I mean, you don't think Detective Debra Morgan coming up missing wouldn't set off any alarms once the storm passed? Yet everyone was only worried about Dexter and his boat

This is Dexter's Miami Metro we're talking about here. They're still stoked that Deb was able to miraculously heal and walk right out of the hospital.
Batista said he was going to pray for a miracle!

One of the most ludicrous things I've seen on a television drama. Sharknado would have fit right in.

I'm just glad they have finally put this show out its misery.
Michael Hall has now been involved in one of the best and one of the worst series finales of all-time

It was pure fantasy in the end. Poorly written fantasy.
There was something kind of poetic going on there for a minute about the two orphans going off together to be taken up by the force of nature, but then Lumberjack Dex shows up. Tarded.

This and the fact that there were palm trees bent in half from 150 mph winds but the water in the bay was slick as glass.

Absolutely horrible ending.

I thought he was going to pull out a box of slides or something at least.
If he's just gonna be some slap dick lumberjack he could have been a fricking father to his kid.

quote:No kidding. I wonder how Michael C Hall felt filming that scene with the beard and shite hauling wood around? It must have been terrible knowing his character would go out like that. How awful.

I had the lowest of expectations and it was worse than I anticipated.

Perfect ending: Dexter comes home and adds another slide to his box. Roll credits.

"I have to protect the ones I love from myself."
Then proceeds to leave his kid without a father.

SPOILERS...
I would have been fine with the ending if they had left it as him riding off in to the hurricane, but then they had to go in to Paul Bunyun mode.

That was the worst ending ever... HOLY shite that was bad. I feel like I just got pranked... like just kidding, that was a joke, the real ending will be next week.
I'm speechless that was so bad.
There was no payoff at all... not how Dexter would have gone out. He would have gone out in a blaze of glory... everyone in the department should have found out. The ending should have been him in solitary confinement in prison. Anything would have been better than that.
frick! The writers of this show suck. I bet Michael C. Hall cant sleep tonight it was so bad.

I'm pretty sure the symbolic meaning of Dexter being a miserable looking lumberjack is to symbolize him losing absolutely everything he cares about because of his lifestyle (cereal killer). No sister, wife, son, job, friends........its all gone. I didn't mind the ending so much......the series obviously dropped off dramatically after season 4. The past few seasons seemed as if he didn't take much precaution to getting caught. I mean have hannah dye her hair and wear a baseball cap at least for fricks sake. lol.

Hahahaha. What a laughable finale for an equally laughable show. Dexter has been so bad for so long that I'm not sure if it was ever any good.

Can summarize how it ended? Who lived and who died (clearly, Dexter lived).
I stopped watching the show this season. Pained me to see something so good go to waste.

Well that was a huge waste of time.
They should have put flannel Dexter in the teasers. Then I wouldn't have bothered watching.
