I loved Django, but it doesn't hold a candle to Inglorious Basterds.

I dont know about you, but I think this movie should have gotten several awards.

While it was a solid movie, the only thing I disagree with is the fact Leo or Sam Jackson weren't nominated for supporting actor. They stole the show ImO

Still.... Inglorious Basterds is my favorite QT movie though

I think a lot of people are missing the boat on Django when they say Basterds is much better.

QT's movies get better with time. I guess the reason I currently have Django > IG is that I better "first watch" with it. Basterds got better with time to me....And now its very good to great.

Just like people are making the connection of "Dentist vs. Candie"

There is going to be so many layers of this movie discussed 15 years from now.

Even the tidbit of the woman with the scarf

Its why she stared at Django in such a strange way earlier in the film.........she knew him years before! *Ok I got that from reddit*

But truth be told. I'm more of a Western/Southern type of guy instead of a War movie guy. So that probably plays a factor in what I think.

Just saw this last night. Movie was fantastic. My only gripe is the QT cameo. It took me completely out of the movie, more so than his other movies. That scene almost fricking ruined it for me.

ETA: I liked IB more.

Overrated.

Half an hour too long.

It did drag on a bit. Some of the scenes could have been shortened. KKK scene ad dinner scene comes to mind.

Nah. It still sucks. It's a movie that trivializes slavery for the enjoyment of white viewers.

Finally saw this today. As expected, it was excellent. I probably would give a slight edge to IB mainly because Landa is one of the best characters of all time, but both were awesome.

Didn't care either way. If I didn't know who he was, he would have been a random dude playing a naive Aussie. He didnt ruin the movie or anything.

False, I fricking loved Django. I do why but I knew exactly what it was going to be going in and it still blew me away. I was sad when it ended
