I love Golden Girls. I’m 39. Still funny and more risqué than expected. At one point Dorothy calls Blanche a slut and calls Rose a moron.

Blanche tells them she’s been to a doctor and she needs a kidney.

Rose: Why do you need a kidney?

Dorothy: To feed the cats, Rose!

Her delivery makes me at that line every time.

Another scene, Dorothy explains that she and her ex-husband don’t have anything in common “except what’s between the sheets.”

Rose: What’s between the sheets?

Dorothy: His cappuccino machine.

Well yeah, but from what I remember they all 4 made sexually provocative comments and jokes.

My 15yr old daughter loves The Golden Girls. Watches it while getting ready for school. Sophia is her favorite.

I’m 41 and still love that show. Watch it every weekend.

Empty Nest was good, too.

Anyone ever see The Golden Palace spin off? Blanche, Sophia, and Rose buy a hotel. No Dorothy except for a few episodes.

Don Cheadle and Cheech Marin costarred.

Sometimes she doesn’t have to say anything. Her facial expression does it all.

Dorthy has always been my favorite.

As a kid I thought the show was about her and her roommates, that Dorthy was the main character.

One of my favorite "Very Special Episodes:"

The "Golden Girls" When Betty White Banged a Guy to Death

Sophia was absolutely savage at times.

I'm over 60 and have never really watched it. Not a big Bea Arthur fan. Someone needs to remind people in the "Fall of Woke" thread about her show 'Maude' being around for awhile.

Maude was fantastic. She was great on All in the Family, too.

Ya damn boomer.

I vaguely remember that. Only last a season or two, didn't it?

Only think I remember about Empty Nest was that dog. Was its name Clarence?

Youre telling me when you were a kid you watched old people shite? Did you help your mom around the house while your sister did outdoor chores too?

Sound like queenofthepoint

My wife loves the show so we watch it a good bit. It holds up really well and is still pretty hilarious. I watched it back in the day as well.

If you are not trolling.

You have the worse taste, in everything.
