My daughter and my wife have read all the books and are both on "Team Jacob". I've seen the 1st two movies at home with them.
I spent a long car trip with them, and they basically recited to me the entire "Twilight Saga" from memory. I have to say, the mythology is rather interesting, with the individual powers that the vampires get and the legend of the origin of the werewolves and their imprinting and protection of people.
I didn't read them myself though, so I don't know if all that is overshadowed with too much chick feed.
