it's a sequel it's not supposed to bring anything new. it's the same as the other one.

No, thats the exact point of a sequel (or a good one at least). Its testing new concepts with a group of people we are familiar with. There are new concepts and changing the setting isn't enough if it a complete rehash of the first.

in most cases i'd agree but not when the formula for the movie is just like this one.

The people who liked that character also liked Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, the other most popular yet extremely unfunny recent movie role.

Agreed. He was funny for like 5 minutes, like Mr. Chow was when he jumped out of the trunk. However after those first few minutes and after the shock wears off, they're both just terrible.

Why should this formula be used again? Who in a remotely sane mind would let something like that happen to them again? I'm not against using the characters again, but just give them something else to work with. Maybe have a film where the guys try get Allan laid. That could be a good film.

an asian character and the movie is set in bangkok. right.

He's Chinese. Its like expecting a Spaniard who currently lives in America in a film set in Russia.

1) The only bitching on this thread is coming from you,

2) I can only speak for myself, but I've never posted shite like that. But I have a life.

I'm hopefully going, my friend is supposed to be getting tickets as I type this.

And people quit bitching, yes it will probably be just like the first one but the first one was hilarious to many people, so I'm fine with that. I'm not expecting a groundbreaking sequel.

I'm sorry, but it's going to be terrible.

The Hangover was lucky to work, it depended on it's lesser-known cast to procure a few awkward situations and sayings that have stood the test of time.

It also introduced the world to Zach Galifianakis, who had he not been in the movie, it would have been a total flop. I appreciate his contribution, but I don't think this formula will work again.

Sure, Phillips is great, but not many people think like that. He hadn't made a good movie since Old School. We were due.

This isn't about Starsky and Hutch. This is about worrying about Zach Galifianakis losing his soul and hair
