Damn what a movie. The rewatchables talk about this all the time so finally watched it while I’m home alone for the week. Thought the performances were great and it was awesome to see young Wahlberg and Heather Graham. Loved Burt Reynolds as the serious director. I was not surprised once it hit the 80s and things started going downhill but man it made me sad to watch. Can’t wait to listen to the rewatchables episode on this and glad I got to check off a classic.
PTA is pretentious and sucky (outside of Punch Drunk Love) and this is no exception. The ridiculous ending with the shooting was just that - ridiculous.
