Its a gem. I really started following her career after watching this because she did such a great job, and ben foster knocked it out of the park as always.
This movie is a solid 9/10 for me. But as you said, its a slow burn.
If you enjoyed it make sure you check out captain fantastic with viggo Mortensen if you havent already seen it

I found it about as interesting as watching grass grow and paint dry. But, some movies I like get panned by others, so there's that.

Wouldn't know about that one. I did once fall asleep when the wife and I went to see "Iron Man II" while getting rained on when vacationing on the beach in Florida one afternoon.
