I still haven't eaten celery since I've watched it. Need to watch again. I've forgotten most of it. I don't think I ever pressed pause due to unexpected giggle fits more than with this movie

The first time I watched it I didn't like it. Every subsequent viewing made me love it more an more. Same with Napoleon Dynamite. Those two movies are better the second-100th viewing. MacGruber is filled with awesomeness.

I avoided this movie for years because I just knew it would suck (I am generally wary of SNL skits turned into movies, and I wasn't the biggest Will Forte fan back then).
Then I finally watched it and thought it was absolutely hilarious, and was immediately pissed at myself for not watching it way sooner.
It's legit great.

Same. I remember the first time I saw it. I was in college and I just remember there was something that I was really upset about (probably a gf at the time), and I just wanted to make a drink and watch a stupid comedy to take my mind off it. McGruber was all I could find and I had very low expectations going in...came out crying laughing and had completely forgotten whatever it was that put me in a bad mood. I've now seen it about 20 times since and insist on showing it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
Anytime I'm driving and hear one of the goofy songs he plays in his car I lose it. "Rosanna" by Toto came on the other day and I just laughed the entire song thinking of McGruber. Wife couldn't figure out why it was so funny to me

The scene where he answers the phone in the warehouse is probably the hardest I've ever laughed at a movie

I hated it the first time i saw it, didn't finish - gave it another shot and watched it a bunch back in college. Its definitely not a widely popular brand of comedy but I think its hilarious.
