Echo was such a blah character in what was a decent Hawkeye show that I was absolutely shocked when I saw she got her own show

They need to make sure every single "marginalized group" in existence is represented in some form or fashion.

Spoilers below.

A native american super with powers is not an inherently bad idea. But this show was bad on so many levels it's kind of surprising.

1) A deaf lead really makes following dialogue tedious. Especially when she doesn't read lips and everyone talking to her has to sign too. Reading lips is a short cut most TV shows with deaf people tend to take, and after watching Echo, I know why.
2) Super powers seemingly out of nowhere after she's been pretty firmly established as a quite capable non super. I think the idea of a native American super with powers could be well done. It was not well done here.
3) This is one of those shows where the girl power for the sake of girl power seems to be at play. Again, she seems quite capable on her own, but then they have to Mary Sue her up and give her powers in the last episode.
4) Did she use her magic powers to emasculate Kingpin and now he's lost his rage that drives his character? That seemed to be the implication.

I have not seen She Hulk, but I have to think this is one of the worst Marvel shows to date. It didn't really do anything well and did a lot of things poorly. The only thing really of interest to me were the flashbacks to her ancestors. They could have made something cool out of that, but they didn't.

For those wanting to skip this, probably the only thing of consequence to other MCU shows was a post credit scene of Wilson Fisk watching the news about the mayoral race and looking like he decided he was going to run for Mayor.
