When I asked why it wasn't one of the most popular movies ever she said, "Probably because there's not a single woman in it."
But are there any married women in it?

Very well done books. Subtly hilarious. Although I had to look up more terms and foreign language quotes than any other series I have read.
I just posted on the book board that my wife and I watched the movie this past weekend so we decided to give the first book a try. Thankfully, I read on my Kindle so I can just tap the words and find out what they mean otherwise I'd be pretty confused lol. Book one has a slow start in my opinion but I want to finish it so I can get to some of the better ones in the series.

If they had made more of the movies they would have featured some women. Captain Aubrey's wife and Maturin's love interest are prominent in the books.

This is like the closing summation in “A Time To Kill’ - “now imagine she’s white….
I never noticed or realized and this hit me like a stack of pianos or a pile of bricks.
