Well ill get flack for these but whatever

The Matrix trilogy- I hated the second two for the longest time then recently I really listened and understood during the scene with The Architect and the subway scene at the beginning of the third and also realized that neo, morpheus, and trinity were just pawns in the oracles game to end the war. It made the movies a lot better and deeper for me.

The Butterfly Effect- Not the best movie in the world but really made me think.

other than that Fight Club, American History X, Schindler's List, Braveheart, Gladiator, One Flew over the cuccoo's nest

Also I just watched We Bought a Zoo and it was pretty moving

Gallipoli

Maybe the most heart-breaking film I've ever seen.
