Robert Downey Jr.

Only actor in Hollywood who can go from a coked up junkie (not a far reach for him) in Zodiac to being on the cover of kids lunch boxes a year later with Iron Man.

For the record, Zodiac kicks arse.

I'd say Jim Carry. He's one of the few guys to successfully make the transition from oddball comic to serious actor.

Christian Bale (the Machinist - 2004, Batman Begins - 2005) laughs at that statement.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Sean Penn.

Surfer dude, police officer, psycho army sergeant, death row inmate, retard, flaming gay.

The correct answer is:

I'll throw up John C. Reilly. The man does comedies, series dramas and musicals.

everybody pretty much took care of the best names but heres one nobody has mentioned

John Travolta

If you can go from pussy little Danny in Grease to the ultimate bad arse in Pulp Fiction i think you have to be pretty versatile.

This. Watch True Romance and Batman Begins and tell me you even think it's the same actor.

Had no clue he was also Sirius Black in HP. Unbelievable actor

Okay so exactly how is Dustin Hoffman not listed up in this piece is beyond me..

To me he is as versatile as it gets.. He can play comedy, serious, good and bad guy.. and he's so good at his characters.. you don't even realize it's him.. you just see the character..
