Season 2 before the Survivor train really got rolling.

Colby's was a dumb move, but I give it a little pass becuase it was the 2nd season and there really wasn't a template yet for winning the game.

The guy giving his immunity necklace to I think Parvati was by far the dumbest move in Survivor history. He was going to walk to a win. I actually felt bad for him, while also falling in love with Parvati, for it.

Consider this:

Tony won $3 million dollars all because Woo took Tony to the finals in Survivor: Cagayan instead of Kass. Woo would have beaten Kass and Tony would have never been on this season.

Tony deserved to win but I would have been okay with any of the 3. I thought Nick was going to vote for Michele when he made the comment that he knew what it was like to be in the outs. Rob was going to vote for Tony no matter what.
This is why I think it's silly to do all this crowning of GOAT and all that. For one, the sample sizes are too small. But more relevantly, there is just SO MUCH RANDOMNESS.

I thoroughly enjoyed the season - my first since 2011ish.

I hated no reunion. frick the virus. But also, I just haven't really understood their keep/drop production decisions all season. The show is such a reliable cash cow...why don't they just have several more episodes? Show rewards? etc.

I honestly didn't really care who won, although I think Natalie was the least deserving. Michelle was robbed of credit for being as much of a trooper as she obviously was.

The "spy nest"...WTF? Why did Tony get so much credit for eavesdropping...on a conversation that his best friend in the game was having with Nat? Wasn't this ENTIRELY irrelevant?

Seems like they have made the latter immunity challenges markedly less brutal than they used to be...putting balls in a marble roller coaster? What happened to 6 hours of endurance type shite?

I really want to go back to 16 strangers. I love these all stars and all but it's too warping to the game itself.

Fire tokens - agree with Yul: seems like there's a place for them, but they need to workshop it some more.

I'd like to see a season that reverts back to purely old school: no advantages, no hidden immunity, etc. And I always wanted to see a season with no tribes.

SJW stuff: I didn't watch 39, but I guess they had a player that was ejected for groping? Seems very clear that Probst's introspection on sexism last night was the beginning of a mea culpa tour (and keep in mind, he did that BEFORE even knowing the public reaction to handling of the groping.) IOW, expect more.

Still a great show and I can't believe it's been 20 years. The whole history is amazing. I am also very impressed at how Probst runs the whole thing.

Yeah, no shite. I'll go with Tony being the "King" but frick that "Queen" Sandra crap.

I think it helped him at other moments in the game. Last night, not so much but who's to know if Sarah would've told him about Natalies idol

Absolutely agree

I will say when Rob asked Natalie why she didn't go against Tony in the fire challenge, she gave a very weak answer.

This was a chicken-shite question from Rob. You can’t tell me that he would have voluntarily put himself in harm’s way to attempt to impress the jury. Her answer should have been in the form of a question and asked Rob over the multiple seasons he played, how many times did he give up immunity and leave himself exposed? It’s just not the smart play and as a player that loves the game, he should respect the fact that she earned the spot in the final tribal council and she earned the right not to take an unnecessary risk. Rob was just being a bitter loser since Natalie dominated him on EoE.

Perhaps but if she would've done it, she wins. Probably unanimously. I get what you are saying though. Cost her in the end.

He gave it to Natalie, who was probably hotter than Parvati, but she never came back on.

He only caught two conversations in it, or at least they only showed two, and neither really resulted in much. First one was Denise telling Sarah they should target Tony. I think that was the week they voted Jeremy out. And last night when they found out Natalie had a hidden immunity idol, and Ben got voted out.

It's a funny gimmick he employed, but it ultimately had no impact on the game.

Honestly, I think Rob would have. He's willing to take that gamble, plus he's one of the best at making fire.

Although it seemed like Tony and Sarah both got theirs going quickly as well.

One more comment, am I the only one who thought it was strange that they didn't show Tony's reaction back at camp after Sarah voted Ben out? They could have taken a few minutes out of the crying fest between those two to show us his reaction.

I, too, would love a season with no idols and advantages. The reason I loved the first few seasons is they were all playing blind with no preconceived notions on how to get to the end. Now everyone is jumping in the first hour to align with other players.

Sarah would have won it had she not relied on the husk so much at the start. She had a good fire going that burned out quickly because it was mostly husk.

But I don't fault her. That has to be an extremely stressful situation.

To be fair, Richard started immediately making an alliance in the first season.
