i never said it was gonna be classic or anything like that. it is a movie that looks good. many other movies were made with similar storyies but i and many others are interested in this one. how does biggie's life of drugs and crime make it a bad movie? yall are fricking dumb.

its all good dude..most the people bashin the movie is only because they dislike rap music but are down with a movie about a REAL drug dealer like american gangster in which the main character affects a whole city with heroin THATS SO MUCH BETTER....psssh please biggie wasn't a saint but hes not remembered for being a small time dealer but for how he influenced hip hop unlike many of the before mentioned movies

P.S. i liked american gangster just trying to make a point

what exactly did biggie influence within hip hop? I really don't know so i'm asking.

i don't see a big deal in making the movie, but i don't see anything about his life that warrants a movie either. It definitely seems more a direct to dvd movie then a big screen film.

if you were to ask all modern day rappers who they were influenced by i garuntee most of them would say biggie...some of the great rappers we here today might have never picked up a mic if it weren't for him

He revolutionized rap on the east coast, he was the biggest rapper at the time and one of the greatest rappers and stories in music

all right i didn't know thats why i had ask.

but you can't really prove that if i'd ask most rappers today they'd say biggie without actually doing that survey so thats heresay.

i guess i can see how he revolutionized rap on the east coast, but wasn't rap big on the east coast prior? Like wasn't Ice T an east coast rapper before biggie? or was it the same time?

Ice T is a West Coast OG.

anyway I love these mother frickers in here getting all worked up because most normal people realize this movie is gonna be shite. Production is gonna suck, the acting is gonna be way overblown and looks like it's done by amateurs. Why the frick couldn't they just use the real P Diddy? The only thing decent about this movie will probably, no hopefully be the soundtrack.

and to even compare this shite to Goodfellas or American Gangster??? fricking. WOW.

all this. I also think he doesn't have enough life story to make for a good movie.

where as in casino, good fellas, and american ganster had a lot of story to go with the movie. Whether what it was about was good or bad doesn't mean it didn't have an interesting story. Look at "ray" and "walk the line" both charles and cash had a shite load of back story to put into a movie. I don't see biggie having that much history to make for a good movie.
