These shows are based on two things. 1. Talent 2. Song choice. You can have all the talent in the world but the wrong song could expose your weaknesses and kill you week to week. I think bad song choices killed many of the contestants this year earlier than it should have.

I would have liked to have seen a duet with him and Katrina but he made that choice for some reason

That's fine, but let him celebrate with his family and friends afterwards then. If he's gonna perform, just keep him on the stage to perform. Hugging everyone he sees for 15 seconds every other line of the song is distracting and awkward as frick.

No doubt. Thats exactly what I mean. Have the contestants only on stage. Reveal the winner. The winner may hug the other contestants or whatever but have them sing an emotional winning song. Then let the family come on stage right after to celebrate. Last night since the family was on stage it would have just been better for them to ax the performance.

I'll forever think that Juliet would've won had she done a Joplin song. If she sang Mercedez Benz a capella, she wins running away. Joplin's songs were all about her "sound." Free Bird is all about the music (especially the guitar). Singing Free Bird killed her IMO.

I agree. I'm surprised that she didn't do Joplin. That was what everyone on blogs and other message boards wanted to see also. She was wildly popular in online communities and she has been downloaded pretty well on iTunes. There isn't any doubt that she would have won if she had a better performance and song choice the other night. She really had a terrible week overall including her performances last night.

That would have been such a better duet. Lindsey's voice is so weird and strange that it doesn't mesh well for duets.

I was a big fan of Lindsey after the audition. But she absolutely crashed and burned the rest of the way and lasted way longer than she should have but that was because of Christina mainly. I didn't like any other performance of hers at all.

There were a lot of contestants that peaked early - Lindsay, Mathai, and even dare I say Jessie after his battle round.

I'm just watching the end of the show. I didn't pay any attention to any of it, but couldn't ff to the end on On Demand.

Christina shouldn't wear panties out in public. Serves her right that her guy came in last. I think she's responsible for that. I also think Adam got muddy when he fooled with her and that cost his guy.

Love Blake's and Jermaine's reaction. Nice congrats from Tony and Chris. I didn't see Juliet congrat him, but it was a mess up there.

What irks me about these shows is that they spend two hours on fillers and when the winner is announced, they get very little time. I want to hear from from the winners. If they did that, then they might actually be able to sing their last song, decently, though I don't even think that's necessary. It's really silly to have them sing with a stage full of people.

I like him. Glad he won, though I didn't really have a dog in this race.

Yeah, but 99 Problems is disrespectful. Nevermind that she's dressing like a whore on national TV. God, I fricking can't stand that bitch.

Comes from the saying that goes something like, "when you play with the pigs, you're going to get muddy".

He got all involved in the Christina crap and got dirty himself, IMO. He should have ignored her and kept going. When he started slinging back, he lost some credibility, at least, with me and I think with voters also. I think Tony lost some, too, due to that.

Can't stand Christina either, but she was doing enough damage to herself. She didn't need Adam's help. She was way up in the pig sty rolling around in the mud.

Jermaine's Jackson 5 song was the best performance of the night. He had some of the best voices from the show with him and it showed.

The other performances were less than stellar. Who thought it would be a good idea to put Juliet with a rapper? Really!?!

I thought Christina looked really cute with her top and the way her hair was done. She can be quite attractive when she isn't trying to shock. Then she get up and went on stage... What. The. frick??? Was she wearing that when she had the rugrat on her lap?

The rankings went pretty much as they should have. Juliet's final song choices last week really screwed her. Chris Mann has an insanely powerful voice but he just can't seem to break out of that operatic sound. Tony Lucca has all the tools but he simply didn't have as many good songs/nights as Jermaine did.

I agree the closing was a massive clustefrick. I think it would have been better to announce it before the Bieber number, then have him come back with the other finalists and his family for the final song. It was truly touching to see him singing while slow-dancing with his wife. He could have sung to her more if there had been some more "cool down" time before the song.

In conclusion: Most of the performances were shite and Christina is a walking sack of crazy.
