Seems like every damn day we keep losing more and more of those we grew up watching. RIP Teri

She was fine as hell well into her 50's.

This starts with her at 49.

Literally just rewatched Mr. Mom two weeks ago.

She was always so damn likeable on screen. Really a gem of an actress. She should've been more praised.

The last thing I think I saw her in was Ghost World in 2001, but I don't remember her being in that.

She was great in some of my favorite movies. She also just had a sweetness about her. She seemed like she was real girlfriend material to me. I admit, I was in love with her as a teenager. She's only 14 years older than I am.

When those threads pop up periodically on here and the OT "What celebrity would you like to have a beer with" you could have done a lot worse than Teri.

MS is a cruel disease. She was doing okay until her late 50s and then, Wham!, she's had a tough last quarter century.

Obviously, she had a rare combination of looks, charm, charisma. I liked her in everything I saw her in.

RIP

That 2008 interview is an excellent read. Thanks for posting!

Teri Garr was truly a cool chick — and I say that with the utmost respect. She’d have been a blast to hang out with.

RIP

Earlier I was going to post that Teri Garr was “Phoebe from Friends” long before there was a Phoebe.

Then I remembered that she played Phoebe’s mother on the show!

In Ghost World, Teri Garr and Bob Balaban played Thora Birch's stepmother and father.

In Friends, they played Phoebe's parents.
