the mpg commercial cracks me up. in the first movie the gang fight scene really bored me - but otherwise loved the first one.

Yep. Basically took all of the cuts that didn't make the final one and made a 2nd full length movie.

I was in San Diego for a conference just a few months ago. Don't think we ever stopped quoting the movie, unless of course when we were in the Top Gun bar (Kansas City BBQ) and were drinking Night Train and quoting Top Gun.

I've tried a couple times to watch the first one, but just couldn't do it. And I've yet to find any of the recent commercials in the least bit funny.
