Yeah the killer bats had me scratching my head a little...B/c you know those guys have been itching to shoot something..Guess none of them came from louisiana b/c a 12 gauge and some lead shot would have gone a long way....

Yeah, the lizard-bats were a little overblown. If you're going to have something small like that cause a problem, you need TONS of them swarming.
And the part where the son was struggling with the lizard-bat to shut the door? WTF? How badly does he need to be stucj in a weight-lifting class if he has to struggle hand-to-hand with something that has the strength of a 4yr old?
I've got big hopes for the show, but I can already feel sharks in the water, sharks that may soon be jumped.

Same here.
Ah, the simple things in life. People get too bent out of shape over a stupid television program.

I look forward to making fun of the show (and you) in the weeks to come.

I like how the soldiers were wearing the current helmet worn in the Army. So, over the last 25 years or so, we have seen three changes of the basic Army helmet, yet, over the next 140, we will see none? Likewise, their weapons look all space age and everything, I'm fine with that. But, what are the little doodads on top of the reciever? They obviously aren't optics, they have no lenses. So what are the?
With all the talk about this being the most expensive television series ever, a few little details would make it go a lot better.

I like how 3 soldiers were killed by paper cuts. I mean Dino-bats. I know it's on cable but cmon. Watching Chaz Bono on my tv is more revolting than those little scratches/wounds on the army guys.

Actually looked like the lizard bats ate their eyes out.

Also, you have a colony going back 85 million years where you are in a new world with countless things you don't understand. You've had at least 10 migrations and built a pretty impressive operation with modern housing, security, farming, and industrial production. Yet, when threatened by a migration of a new species and forced to come up with an innovative strategy involving pheromones, you have TWO people to work on it and one of them isn't a real scientist but an MD?
Shouldn't they have had at least a hundred scientists in the operation more qualified to work on this thing than one horny MD?

Clarification:
Horny doc is referring to the guy who recruited Jim's wife...not the wife herself. He tried to recruit some medical-knowledged arse because he thought her husband was in prison. Thus, horny doc.

He could also call him cock blocked doc.

Nope, he isn't even a doctor. She is the horny doc because the major sub plot of the entire episode was that she kept wanting to get it on with her hubbie and kept getting interrupted by the bats...or whatever they were.

He's probably got a PhD if not an MD.
