And I get disgusted by these right wingers who think that taxpayer subsidy and government contracts are essential parts of capitalism.
The movie depicted the short sellers as heroes, which of course they weren't.
They looted the nation's 401K retirement system.
It did not mention that the taxpayers financed a large share of the profits of the short-sellers.

What are you talking about? The right wing trend these days are all about making government as small as possible, meaning no taxpayer subsidies and only absolutely essential gov contracts. I think you have your political spectrum backwards.
And an even bigger WTF, did you even watch the movie? They are depicted as relative heroes in a sea of the greedy and the blind, but they are far from admirable people. The movie acknowledges several times that these people were betting against the US economy and that there "win" was a huge loss for the nation. Further, it absolutely mentioned that taxpayers were bailing out the banks that were on the losing side of these bets.
