I don't understand this... Shouldn't you seek out what other people think BEFORE you plunk down your cash ?

I didn't like this movie. I thought it was incredibly boring and I usually like deep and meaningful movies/plots. What is it about this movie that I did not get? What do people love about it so much?

it was OK, the portion where he is living with Cate Blanchett in the duplex in NOLA was boring as shite and needed to be chopped down in the editing room

I didn't like the ending either

It tried waaaaay too hard to be Forrest Gump imo also:

SPOILERS:

In what way was it relevant that the story took place during Katrina? As far as I could tell it added absolutely nothing to the plot and was very forced.

Overrated and too long/slow. It would have been better had they cut it in half. No need for it to stretch out to 3 hours.

Of course, Pitt, like most other actors do, failed miserably at making an accurate NOLA accent, too.
