at a certain point yes. he hasnt always been that way. and it usually pertains to citizens. he did it in the museum to force the flash away from him.

he didnt kill the armored car guards or the security guard in the museum when he easily had the chance. he usually kills for a purpose. tonight was mostly to get the flash away from him

I don't know. I don't think that the comic Snart would've killed that guy or the guy that gave him the freeze gun. If I remember right, the only times he ever killed anyone in the comics was because of revenge. He sure wouldn't have killed someone just to mess with the Flash, and I don't think he would've killed someone that was helping him out.

But with that said these are origin stories, so hopefully the Snart on the show will end up developing his code of honor that he then makes the rogues follow.

Anyone else notice that the name of the museum official who called West was Dexter Myles?

I'm with DK. I don't remember a whole lot of detail from Capt Cold from pre-2000 but that moral code has definitely been more prominent since John's run and beyond.

I liked his portrayal last night though. He doesn't kill innocents(if he can help it) because of the attention it draws to the Rogues but its free game on criminals.

I'm going with the Silver Age Flash and really don't care about the retcon villain moral codes or the Pied Piper being gay or Mr. Element voting for Obama.

Just have awesome villains firing ridiculously awesome weapons at Barry.

Thanks.

I can't wait to see how they do Grodd. Knowing these showrunners, it should be epic.

And I can live with this take on Snart. I just think that if he does form the rogues alliance, he'll end up instituting their moral code since it is kind of big part of the rogues' storylines in the comics. Plus these showrunners tend to mold their characters more towards the later versions/ages of the comics' characters since those are the comics that they had a hand in writing. But I'm alright with him being ruthless. I guess I was just a little shocked at how ruthless they made him in his first appearance.

I'm still awed by the special effects that they can do on the show. The freezing from the gun was pretty darn good, and the scene where Barry saved all of the people in the train was down right awesome. And how they've seemed to master the special effects for tv is why I'm so psyched to see how they do Grodd. He should be epic.

another easter egg, when Barry finds out cold's name is "leonard" he makes a comment saying its almost as bad as bartholomew. hinting at bart allen.

i feel like there was one more but i cant recall it right now.

They said the diamond was the Kahndaq Dynasty diamond. Kahndaq is where Black Adam is from.

Oswald Loomis (aka the Prankster) is the guy hosting trivia night at the coffee shop.

Also the armored truck carrying the Kahndaq Dynasty diamond had Blackhawk Security written on the side (this one I totally missed).

Blackhawk was the security company in that early episode of Arrow. The one with Diggle's old buddy getting involved with the bad guys.

He did.

Twice.

She was walking bowlegged and couldn't understand why.

Yes.

Not sure why they're doing this during sweeps.

Are they that afraid of The Voice?

Next Week: Clancy Brown as General Eiling! And... Plastique!

Yeah it's the felicity background episode, which is another reason why a rerun Flash episode tonight is confusing. I guess they just didn't want to run a new episode on election night.

Can't believe they got Clancy Brown to play General Eiling.

And I wonder if introducing Eiling means we might eventually get a certain captain?
