Yep. I'd be very shocked if he ends up actually saving his mom. Hopefully he'll be able to clear his dad.
I kind of would like to see Barry help future Barry capture Thawne at the scene of his mother's murder. That way would would change the timeline again, and we could have Cavanagh continue as a regular next year as the real Wells. But I very seriously doubt that happens.
