Here's my question: Did the $80K they won/found cover the cost of the weekend?
1) They destroyed the car and will have to replace it...which was what $50K?
2) 2 nights in the suite at ~$4500/night.
3) Cost of destroying that room. I bet that costs another $5K at least.
4) Who knows how much they spent that night along with other little things

fwiw i think it's so overrated (if it is) is because there was vitrually no hype going into it. no one knew what to expect.
There was a ton of hype if you keep up with movies. A sequel was already being reported only based on screeners before the movie was released. This movie was hilarious, but also the most overrated movie I've seen in a long time. It's not the end all be all of comedies. The Asian guy may be the most overrated character ever. He was hilarious when he jumped out of the trunk naked and went down hill for there.

the movie would have been better if:
housekeeping would have discovered the room the next day with Tyson's tiger and they couldn't go back there
owen wilson was cast instead of bradley cooper in the phil role
the chinese guy spoke no english and was obviously gay

Wilson doesn't come off enough as a dick. He's too "wholesome". Cooper was spot on casting.

I liked the movie. A lot. Would have been much better if they hadn't shown Mike Tyson in the promos though. Knowing he was going to frick someone out in that scene took away from it
BTW, I just saw this shirt online
LINK
I have a bad feeling that Alan with infant is going to be at every fricking Halloween party this year

do people really think that hard about shite when they're watching movies? Have a beer.
And Cooper > Wilson for the Phil role easily. Vaughn might have been better at it but he's played that role 500 times already.

No, I thought about it 2 weeks later when reading this thread. I thought it was an interesting question. It seems they did about $80K worth of damage on the trip.

Saw it today...it was ok. It was slow in a lot of parts. The best part was the credits with all the pictures. They should have had some flashbacks during the movie to show what was going on. I give it a C.

bradley cooper is cardboard and his comedic timing sucks
if they wanted a dick in that role there are a dozen other guys they could have used. how about michael madsen as Phil but a little bit older than the rest of the guys? now that would have been great casting of a dick

I enjoyed it...only other person playing phil and would pull off the dick role, would be dane cook.

Posted on 6/29/09 at 7:07 pm to TheOcean
I think Bradley Cooper was a great choice for Phil.
