this is the first time ever an office thread reached page 3 before the episode aired.
Four. And it's still Wednesday morning.

Dinner Party on right now - best episode ever IMO
That was the very first episode I ever watched of the show. Had me hooked almost instantly. I was pissed that I had waited so long to check it out. But the flip side of that was that I was pumped that I got to watch the first three seasons nonstop on DVD.

That and the Oscar gay meeting are some of the most awkward tv moments ever.
That scene (the kiss) was completely ad-libbed by Carrell, FYI. I was reading up on the show yesterday and came across that tidbit. So the awkwardness of that scene is actually 100% real.

I remember my first ever episode where I laughed a very good amount was the one where they play basketball against the warehouse and Michael picks his team and tells Oscar he'll need him if they play baseball or box
This is gonna be rough

Top 10 episode, no doubt.
When Stanley dribbles, and Michael goes "Are you kidding me?!?" I lose my shite.

quote:see season 1 sorta gets forgotten a little bit but every episode makes me laugh and the shooting style resembles the British office a lot more. Plus Michael Scott is kinda fat and more pathetic looking

Ferrell's character is simply there as a plot device to contrast Michael Scott in a way that emphasizes Michael's good qualities.
Vickers is uptight and serious in his office dealings
Michael is fun loving
Vickers doesn't really care about his workers outside the office (see Pam's baby)
Michael, aside from Toby, truly loves his workers and everything about them
Vickers is a stick in the mud and hates "performing"
Michael relishes the attention and is a performer at heart
Vickers has no sense of humor (see Andy)
Michael has a great sense of humor (see Dundies skit)
That, ladies and gentlemen, is why Will Ferrell is on the show: to help his friend Steve Carell go out with a bang.

I remember when Dwight showed up, and Pam looked at the camera and said "AWESOME!" and I was hooked on her. Also, when Michael and Jan were getting all pissed off at each other, but still calling each other babe..that was hilarious. Thew $200 plasma TV......that took him hours to install himself. Lots of things just cracked me the frick up, and I remember thinking WTF is wrong with me that I haven't seen this show yet.
That shite had me rolling...

I finally broke down and bought myself a plasma TV. Check it out. [reveals a tiny TV] I actually hung this on the wall myself. I want to show you something . A lot of people in the room, need more space? [moves TV back a couple inches] Voila, right in the wall.

THAT IS A 200 DOLLAR PLASMA SCREEN TV YOU JUST KILLED! Good luck paying me back on your zero dollars a year salary plus benefits, babe!

My favorite part is when they are playing charades...it's so obvious that Michael is talking about Tom Cruise, so Jim starts guessing Katie Holmes & then Dawson's Creek. Then Michael moves on to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim's first guess is Tom Cruise
That and Dwight's date / baby sitter

The first one I saw was the one where Michael cooked his foot on the George Foremen Grill.
They had me in the first five minutes.

Best part of that episode is Micheal unable to not say "that's what she said" no matter the situation.

I'm just glad my roommate is out of town so I can watch the episode tomorrow all alone. May my tears flow unashamed...
