Ok whoa that was a trip! What was up with Jeremy drinking the vampire blood then killing himself with pills? He's not gonna die so what's the point? He needs to find a vampire and just turn already.
Loved Bonnie telling Stefan she would take he and Damon out if she needed to! That was awesome.
So I guess season 2 will start with Elena meeting Katherine! I'm sooo glad John is dead. I can't wait to find out what the hell the mayors' son is.

If he has vamp blood in him and dies, won't he come back a vampire? Or will it just keep him alive?
So when "Elena" was making out w/ Damon on the front porch, did Damon know it was Katherine or did he really think he got w/ Elena?
Gotta give Katherine credit, chopping off John's finger w/ the ring then killing him was very smart. She's obviously crafty.
I think the mayors son is some kind of halfsie. He heard the noise, so he clearly has vampire in him. Maybe his mom was a witch? I have a hard time believing the mayor was a vampire. I think there's more to that fam. Looks like we'll have a whole new breed to deal with next season.
Did I miss something, or did they not say what happened to Caroline? One minute everyone is hovered over the mayor's son and the next Caroline is laying on the pavement.

I just started watching mid season, I went back and watched all the episodes on a free site so I am caught up. I love this show. Watching tonite's episode on DVR now so I'm not going to finish reading this thread until I am done.

i dont remember if it turns him or he has to feed to fully turn. im guessing he'll be a vampire in season 2.

yea that had me like WTF! i wonder what she'll do with Elena. Will she try to kill her? maybe turn her? i soo wanted to see Elena's face when she saw Katherine for the first time. but they ended the episode before we could see.

they said she had some internal bleeding and her mom said at the hospital she'd be alright.

I think Anna, that's her name I think told him drink the blood then kill yourself and you bounce back as one of them, but once he finds out ole Uncle Gil killed her shits gonna hit tha fan.

Ok, well with the season ending, Katherine has returned. Jeramey has now become a vampire. Not gonna spoiled much, The brothers are not fighting anymore, but mostly if I gave out spoilers then that could ruin everything.
The End of this season was good, wish Anna hadn't died because she was so cute, and epic.

OMG that was the BEST episode EVER....I had to talk a walk to calm my nerves afterwards....They are not following the books exactly but still doing an amazing job with this series!!

I don't know," she said, adding that she also doesn't know what will happen to her character, Caroline, after the car crash. "I don't know. This is going to be such a pain in the butt for you 'cause I don't know. There is a car crash that happens, but I really don't know the outcome of it."
The show's male lead, Paul Wesley (Stefan), initially had his fears about doing so much in the finale, but he was truly pleased by the way it all turned out. "Well, I was like, 'Whoa, this a huge endeavor,' " he said. "The last four pages ... really take the audience on a little bit of a thrill ride. I mean, the whole thing's good, but the way it ends is kind of incredible."
His love interest on the show, Nina Dobrev (Elena), agrees. "I remember sitting in bed reading the script, and when I got towards the end it was so [crazy]. Every single episode of 'The Vampire Diaries,' I feel I am always shocked and surprised. ... This one being the finale has to exceed all expectations and go above and beyond," she said. "And I think it does, and it's crazy and fun, and I had a lot of fun being crazy and doing bad things."

Ok, I finally watched it. AWESOME.
When Elena first showed up in her period costume, I started to wonder if it was Katherine, so her at the end didn't surprise me.
My question is, how was Katherine going to get into the house? She got lucky that Jenna came to the door and told her to come inside. Uncle John got what he deserved though.
